Ministry Training Center FAQ

Restoring theological education and ministry preparation to the local church

Why did Town Creek organize the Ministry Training Center?

Just as a new generation of medical professionals gain real-world experience through training hospitals and as aspiring contractors shadow established contractors for many hours to obtain licensure, so the local church is God's design for raising up and training new leaders to shepherd His churches. Restoring theological education and ministry preparation to the local church is the best way to close the existing gap between Seminaries and church life. Town Creek is taking bold steps to return to the model for ministry training that we see in the Scriptures followed by the apostles and early church.

Who may participate in the MTC?

Men who sense a call to serve Christ in some capacity of pastoral ministry are encouraged to schedule a discovery call.

How does it work?

The format and duration of a training course can be customized to some extent (to be discussed in a discovery call). While training is available for any practical aspect of local church ministry, the majority of training focuses on one of these primary areas:

  • The preparation and delivery of biblical, practical messages
  • Spiritual and organizational leadership
  • Pastoral care
  • The minister's personal and family life
  • Evangelism and church growth
